2017 Cycle de Vine

27.2 miles +1,112 feet / -1114 feet

“Redesigned – Restructured – Rerouted”

The 2016 Cycle de Vine course was  “Revised, Redesigned and Rerouted.  These changes are very well received.  Gone is the need to ride out on the Northshore and Southshore and then back into Lake Chelan.  Agin in 2017 we will provide transportation across the lake from the Lake Chelan State Park to the Manson Bay Park or vice versa.  We believe this provides for a much more interesting ride.  The lake crossing will of course be subject to weather conditions.

Bicycle and rider will be separated at the lake departure peer.  Bikes will be transported on their very on pontoon boat made available courtesy of Sharkey’s Watercraft Rentals.  Riders will be transported by other watercraft so that riders always arrive at their destination ahead of the mount.

Maps will be provided showing which wineries are involved with the 2017 Cycle de Vine and it will be up to you to navigate from winery to winery.  Ride has been redesigned to include as many wineries as possible including those wineries that are in the hills.  You may choose to bypass the wineries that are above lake level but remember you will be forgoing the opportunity of seeing wonderful vistas.  The effort will be worth it.  You map will show you which wineries require you to climb!  If you have an iPhone or Android you will be able to download your map and use your phones built in GPS – you will not get lost if you do this.

Course Maps have been created using “Ride with GPS“. In order to download a PDF of the Loop 1 Course map and Cut- Sheet directions, please click on “View Full Route” in the top lefthand corner immediately below the word “RIDE”. You can also download the route to your GPS using the same procedure.

ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR AN ANSI OR SNELL APPROVED BICYCLE HELMET AND OBEY ALL TRAFFIC LAWS
