Camping In and Around Chelan


OPERATING SEASON: Entiat City Park is open from May 15th through September 4th. Any use of the park

PARK HOURS: 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. Outside of these hours, the gates are closed. Only registered campers are allowed to be in the park after 11:00 pm. Quiet hours will be observed from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Check out time for campers is 1:00 pm.

TENT SITES: There are 26 designated tent sites in the park. Sites 40, 43, 44, 51 & 52 are (ADA) accessible sites. Only ONE tent is allowed per site. Absolutely no kid or storage tents. The sites are well marked and provided with picnic tables and fire pits. Domestic water spigots are located at various locations in the park. Tent space dimensions are 18 feet by 19 feet.

RV SITES: There are 29 RV sites with water, sewer, electricity, picnic table and fire pit. There are two RV sites with just water, electricity, picnic table and fire pit. There is a tent pad at each RV site with dimensions of 16 ft. by 16 ft. Only one tent will be allowed on the tent pad. Tampering with the sprinklers or putting spikes in the ground is strictly prohibited due to shallow irrigation lines.

RV AND TENT RESERVATIONS: Early reservations are suggested especially for holiday weekends and peak periods (July and August). . There is a maximum of six (6) adults per RV or tent site. Up to four (4) adults are included in the basic camping fee. Two (2) additional adults (over the age of 16 or if not accompanied by an adult over 18) are permitted with an additional fee per night.

Beebe Bridge Park and Campground

Campground Description: Beebe Park and Campground is owned and operated by the Chelan Public Utilities District. Beebe Park and Campground is a jewel along the shores of the Columbia River. Immaculately landscaped, tennis, basketball, horseshoes, fishing, boating, water skiing and totally relaxing are just a few of the ways to describe Beebe Bridge Park and Campground. Full restaurant dining and shopping is available just across the river in Chelan. Open April through October. Reservations are not possible.

Directions: From Wenatchee or East Wenatchee – drive 37.1 miles on State Highway 97 (not Hwy 97 alt) towards Chelan. Follow for 37.9 miles to the entrance to Beebe Bridge Park and Campground

Camping is available on a “first come-first serve” basis.

Alta Lake State Park

Alta Lake State Park is a 181-acre camping park where the mountainous pine forests meet the desert. The lake is about two miles long and a half mile wide. Alta Lake offers good trout fishing, conditional waterskiing, and windsurfing during summer months.Lake Chelan, with its many activities, is 30 minutes away.

Alta Lake was damaged during the summer of 2014 when the Carlton Complex fires swept through the popular campground. Park staff worked during the winter season to repair areas of the park that were damaged by the wildfires. The photos below were taken the summer of 2015. Lake Chelan State Park is a 127-acre camping park on the forested south shore of Lake Chelan. The park has 6,000 feet of shoreline, lakeside views and expansive lawns for strolling and playing. The park gets an annual average rainfall of 11 inches. Summer tends to be hot and dry. Annual average snowfall is 42 inches. A coniferous forest and a lake provide respite from summer heat in this Eastern Washington park. A large, sandy beach and boating opportunities attract visitors. Daily ferry service is available to the roadless community at the head of the lake.

Antilon Lake camping area is a dispersed camping area for large groups or small RV’s. Anitlon Lake is open to fishing, and non-motorized or electric-motor boats. Not recommended for swimming. During the summer this camping area can be hot, dry and one of the first areas to close to campfires. Spring and Fall are much more pleasant. Check with the Ranger Station for detailed conditions.

Travel 6.5 miles from Chelan on the Chelan-Manson State HWY 150 towards Manson. Turn right onto Wapato Lake road and drive 2.3 miles to Upper Joe Creek road where the road turns into #8200 Grade creek Road this will lead you directly into the Antilon Lake camping area.

Located at NW end of Wapato Lake, a prime trout and bass fishing lake. 50 RV (water, electricity, & some with sewer) /camping sites, all on grass. Snack bar, fishing supplies and showers in office building. Row boats w/electric motors available. Family atmosphere, pets welcome. Open the last Saturday of April through Labor Day. Only 4 miles to Lake Chelan.

This campground is family friendly, quiet, with lots of trees on peaceful Wapato Lake, featuring 26 RV sites with electricity and water and RV dump station, as well as 14 tent sites. Modern, clean restroom and showers are available. Open from end of April through September 15.
